Downloading Mobile Content - Help
How does it work?
Before you are able to download any mobile content;
First you need to have a phone that is able to receive the type of content (Poly Tone,
Real Tone, Wallpaper etc.) that you want to buy. You can check our help section
‘What mobile phone supports what content’ to see what your phone can accept.
The newer your phone the more likely it will support the latest content, however
on blab2 we have lots of content for older phones as well.
Secondly, to actually download most of the content to your phone you will need to use
the internet from your mobile phone using WAP / GPRS. You need a phone that is capable
of WAP / GPRS and also you need to ensure your service provider has enabled this
service for your phone number. Mono Tones, because they are very small files, will be
sent directly to your phone without the need to use WAP/ GPRS.
How do I enable my phone for WAP / GPRS?
If your phone is not already enabled, this can normally be done by downloading some
settings from the website of your provider (Vodaphone, O2, Orange etc.). However if
the service has not been activated you will have to contact your service provider
customer services to get this done. This may take up to 24 hours.
How do I find the content I want?
To help you find the content you want blab2 have made the web site really simple to use.
All the content is organised initially by content type (Real Tones, Poly Tones,
Wallpapers, Games etc.) and when you select one of these content types you will be
presented with the content list for a default category (normally Editor’s Choice) and a
list of available categories. You can choose different categories and page through the
content or you can use our rapid search facilities;
blab2 has two types of search; a site search (this is always found at the bottom of the
left hand menu bar) which will find all the content that matches your search string.
This can produce many pages of content so always try to make the search as specific as
possible. In addition most of the content categories have a specific search available
(this will be at the top of the content display) which just searches the category you
have selected. If you want to search all of a particular content type make sure you
have selected the ‘All’ category first.
How do I buy the content once I have found it?
If you have selected a tone you will see a ‘get it now’ button next to the description
of the tone. Click this and it will take you into a simple buy process. If you have
selected a wallpaper, screen saver or mobile game you simply click the image and this
will take you to another screen where you will see the ‘get it now’ button.
How do I pay?
There are different payment options available dependent on which country you are
buying from and what content you have chosen. The two most common payment types are
by telephone and by reverse SMS message.
Payment by telephone
If you choose to pay by telephone a telephone number and Pin code will be displayed
on the screen during the buy process. You simply dial the number and key in your
Pin to the telephone when requested. The phone call is a premium rate number and the
call length will be set to charge you the correct amount. Do not hang up until the
call is complete or you will not receive your content. Once the payment has completed
you will be provided with the download instructions to obtain your content (see below).
Payment by reverse SMS
If you choose to pay by reverse SMS you will be asked to text a pay message to a
specific number, this authorises us to send a number of chargeable messages to your
phone. Each message will cost a set amount (£1.50 in the UK) and you will receive
the correct number of messages to complete your payment. Please make sure you have
sufficient credit on your phone to receive these messages otherwise you will not
receive your content. Once the payment has completed you will be provided with the
download instructions to obtain your content (see below).
How Do I download my content?
There are two main ways you will receive instructions to download your content
depending on the content type you have chosen; Either you will receive instructions
within the buy process after your payment has been confirmed or you will receive a
text message containing a link to the download site.
In both cases when you follow the instructions you will use WAP from your mobile phone
to go to a download site. If you are navigating from a received text message you will
automatically connect to the content you have ordered. If you are following
instructions provided on your computer screen you will need to type in the address of
the download site and then enter the pin number provided to obtain your order.
Once you receive your content you will need to save it to your phone and if required
set up your ring tones and wallpapers to your own preferences.
Why is the buy process different for different content types?
In order to bring you the widest range of top quality content blab2 consolidates
content from a number of content owners together with its own content. As all the
content is supplied directly from the originator the process may vary slightly between
content types.
What do I do if things go wrong?
If you have problems with downloading content what should do depends on how far you
have got through the process. If you are having problems enabling your phone for
WAP / GPRS blab2 cannot help you and you must contact your mobile phone service
provider.

If you have successfully ordered and paid for your content but are experiencing
difficulties downloading it to your phone you can contact the support team of our
content providers directly. The process is slightly different depending on the type
of content (and hence the supplier) you have chosen.
For Real Tones and Mobile Games you will be contacting Wapfly. Wapfly offer a
support telephone number during UK office hours (09:00 - 17:00) that is displayed
during the buy process and is 0871 750 1030. Outside of these hours you can email
them at support@wapfly.com remember to include your
mobile make, model and phone number. They will respond within 24 hours, resending content
if required.
For Mono and Poly Tones, Wallpapers, Animated Graphics and Fun Sounds (also known
as True Tones) you will be contacting Mobile Money. Mobile Money have an email
support process that is available from within the buy process but which can also be
followed by clicking on the link below;

You will need to provide the product code and Pin number related to your order;
these will have been displayed during the buy process.
